A consultancy that got tired of rebuilding the same systems

We started as a software design and consulting practice and still work that way — the products came out of that work, not the other way round.

How we got here

From consulting to products

  1. Consulting practice

Hlebourg started in Dubai as a software design and systems consultancy, building custom systems for startups, SMEs and enterprises across several industries.

  2. The same problems, again

Across unrelated clients the same requests kept arriving: prove where a leaked document came from, notice a burning-out team before the resignation letter, and keep operations running when the network does not. Each was rebuilt from scratch every time.

  3. Packaged, not bespoke

Those recurring builds became product lines. What was a six-month bespoke engagement is now an installation, a configuration file, and a fixed price.

  4. Agent-native by default

From 2025 onward, the question stopped being whether staff use AI assistants and became which systems those assistants may touch. Every Hlebourg product now ships an MCP server, so connecting an assistant is a matter of permissions, not development.

How we work

Four commitments we can be held to

Values are cheap when they are adjectives.

Your data stays where you put it

Every product runs in your own environment by default — your servers, your cloud tenancy, or a machine with no route to the internet. We do not operate a central database of our customers’ operational data.

The mechanism is written down

Where a product computes a score, the formula, inputs and window are documented, not behind a demo call. A number a manager cannot explain to the person it describes is ignored within a quarter.

Export is a feature, not a concession

Data goes out in the same shape it went in — documented JSON and CSV, on demand, at every tier. We would rather lose a renewal than hold a customer by making departure expensive.

We say what a product cannot do

Each product page carries a Limits section written before the marketing copy. Screening is not diagnosis, forecasting is not prophecy, and a watermark is not a lock. Buyers discover these things anyway — better in week one than in month nine.
